Brewing Tips

 

  • Degree of grinding: medium (a little thicker than granulated sugar)
  • Normal water temperature (between 85-92 ℃)
  • Coffee powder is not the finer the better, nor is the coarser the better.
  • If the coffee powder is too thick, hot water flowing too quickly, it is difficult to extract the aroma of coffee. If the coffee powder is too fine, the filter paper is easy to be blocked by the fine powder. Due to the long soaking time of the water in the powder, the water cannot flow evenly in the powder layer, resulting in uneven extraction or over-extraction, coffee will be a bitter taste. Therefore, medium ground coffee is good for hand drip coffee.
  • Tips: When the flow is kept to a minimum, water can be injected from the middle of the layer, appearing uniform bubbles instead of flowing around from the powder surface, thus ensuring a uniform extraction.
  • What is a medium grind? The general metaphor is granulated sugar.
  • To be more specific, pinch it with your finger, the coffee is polygonal, grain by grain, rather than flour.

Use Medium coffee powder,6 Steps to Brew Coffee

 

  • Step 1：Fill with filter paper, pour hot water from top to bottom to make the filter paper fit tightly into the filter cup, then pour out the water
  • Step 2：Pour in the powder and pat or shake to level the coffee powder, this progress can reduce the gap between powders.
  • Step 3：The water temperature is controlled between 85-92 degrees, filling the water from the center, drawing a circle to the outer ring, and brewing for 20 seconds.
  • Step 4：Start the second water injection, the water flow to maintain uniform vertical, from the inside to the outside of the circle, do not flush directly to the filter paper.
  • Step 5：For the third injection, draw a circle from the outside to the inside and return to the center until the required water (about 150ml) is injected.
  • Step 6：When the filtration is over, take up the beaker and shake it gently, then enjoy a cup of mellow coffee.
